Welcome to Harbinger, Loofa!! I wondered how long it was going to take for you to get on board over here. I miss the rapport we enjoyed on FTE and can't wait to get into some discussions with you about Ms. Cole's music over here. Write to me privately when you have a chance. I'll give you a call and catch you up on what's been going on, including the atrocious performance I saw Mrs. Sood give on Friday Night rebroadcast last night. What a groaner! > I know a few people from the Harbinger list that are on FTE and have > lusted after one, but right now I hear he's taken (damn him!). ;-) Aww... that's sweet of you to say, Ant. But, rest assured, my friend, Andy is holding the key to my pants, but you'll always be my cyber squeeze toy. ;^) And, Jill Hughes (a/k/a Riphug, the one-woman 600-disc CD shuffler), wrote: > I've res*bbed and still have the lyrics (ok, the kind-a lyrics) available. I *still* look for a tall, handsome guy in an > orange t-shirt everytime I watch "Sessions at West 54th." I'm quite easy to pick out of the crowd. As you mentioned, I wore the infamous orange t-shirt that day. You can see me several times throughout the performance if you look just to the right of Jay Bellerose. I'm in the audience, just to the right of his left shoulder. I'm the one smiling really big. As I recall, I think there's one shot, in particular, where you can really see my gorgeous mug quite well. ;^) So, what a great way to start off '98 on this list! Two of my old buddies from mailing lists I've known and long since unsubbed from are now on Harbinger. Hang on to your seats, it's gonna be... oh, you know the rest. Peace. I am a long time lister, random poster. I just wanted to let the Ani fans that she will be on Sessions this week. I just found out a few seconds ago, so it might be a little too late for some of you. I only get Sessions in the reruns anyway, so it really doesn't affect me. Also, I was at the December Lilith when I saw Chantal Kreviazuk, who has been mentioned several times on the list. I had heard her single "Surrounded" and was amazed, but her live performance surprised me. It was only her and her piano. My thoughts were that one could only do so much with a piano. I was wrong. I purchased her album a few days ago and it has not left my cd player since. I must thank the listers who introduced her to me, she not only has powerful voice, but her lyrics are indescribable. Well, I guess that is my delurk for the month. I am sorry there isn't any Paula content, maybe next time. I won't have an opportunity to see Paula in the upcoming months, Florida just isn't a hot venue I suppose. I expect some great reviews, especially from Kenn :-) Crawling back into the cave, Ashley - ------------------------------ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe harbinger To buy Paula merchandise from Paula(!) try: http://pw2.netcom.com/~ilml/pcmerch.html Digest, further unsub and problems FAQ at: http://www.netaxs.com/~jgreshes/lists/harbinger.html For This Fire kinda-lyrics write Riphug@aol.com All footer, all the time...never shaved. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 4 Jan 1998 00:57:47 -0500 From: "bmitchh" Subject: Re: (harbinger) Sessions and other stuff One of the best things about this list is finding out from all of you what you are listening too. I'm another one of those people who was introduced to Chantal because of the postings here on the list. She is amazing, the CD is one incredible experience after another. So thanks again to all of you who take the time to type up some words about the new music you have found... It really does help to make life better. BTW... I'm listening to the following artist the most lately: Beth Orton, Mazzy Star, Chantal, Jen Trynin, Aimee Mann (my favorite) and of course Paula. I have also been on a binge listening to compilation cd's. The Mitch fav's in this catagory are: If I were a Carpenter, Shaken and Stirred (new versions of James Bond themes), Grosse Pointe Blank soundtracks (1&2), Live from 6A Late nite with Conan O'Brien, Live on Letterman, Pretty in Pink soundtrack, and Safe and Sound . I think I am going to try to go to Cincy on Feb 4 (my b-day) to see Paula at Bogarts. Its about 2 hours in the car and on a tuesday nite but what the hey, I'm motivated.... If anyone knows the tips and tricks about parking and geting good seats at Bogarts by all means send me some e-mail. Thanks in advance..
