She had two small boys ages 4 and 5, and I commented how tough it must be to bring them to do laundry for so long ( she had the most laundry I've ever seen in my life) and I reminisced about how my own two boys (now men) are a year apart and how great it was yadda yadda yadda. After a while she told me she had left her husband after her third beating at his hands and how it was gonna be a tough xmas and all. She said they once had their own home, own business and such and she left him taking just a bag full of clothes and her two boys. (She actually showed me an old welt on her leg) I felt so bad. So, I played with the kids for a couple of hours and read some books to them, and it was obvious how these two boys must be well cared for, I mean, they knew each train part in the book and what each train transported and they knew all of the jobs that the trucks do, so it was obvious someone reads to them alot. So, to make it short, I found out what they wanted for xmas, got her address (she had no phone) and came home all excited. Told my two young kids the story and we are gonna kinda like sponsor these two boys for xmas :-) I'm so excited and so are my husband and boys. Now, I must search the toy stores for a backhoe and a hot wheels fire something or other. I wish I had tons of money to buy them everything but I'm sure they'll be so happy. Any suggestions on something small I can leave for the mother (she must be in her late 20's, it seemed) Judy-fumbling towards giving - ------------------------------ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe harbinger Digest, further unsub and problems FAQ at: http://www.netaxs.com/~jgreshes/lists/harbinger.html For This Fire kinda-lyrics write Riphug@aol.com ------------------------------ End of harbinger-digest V2 #151 *******************************
