She announces at the beginning of the song that she and the band had just finished shooting the video for her next single, which will be "Me" ... The pre-Houston performance is a nice acoustic version, played before what appears to be a small, cozy audience. It's fun to listen to, as she introduces the band members one by one before hand. Anyway, I'm squeezing it and two other songs (Carmen and IDWTW) from the same session into a RealAudio file and will be putting it up on my server if anybody is interested. Let me know. After so many Paula Cole fans admitted to a Martika fetish, I found this web site with some news. Mock or enjoy. Like I mentioned before, the Greatest Hits CD has quite a few remixes and different versions than are on her album. (Prince's mix of "Love Thy Will" is especially cool): http://members.aol.com/MartikaFan/Martika.html According to Stacy Ferguson, Martika's new LP will FINALLY come out next year! Martika has spent this year writing new songs and making demos for the new LP. Still no word on which label she is with nor do I have a release date. Hi all ! I am posting the final tour schedule as it stands today. This should cover all shows for the rest of 1997. Once again I am going to tell you that any schedule is subject to change. Last time, I posted a tentative schedule which ended up having several changes. Be assured that I try to give out info to HELP everyone know what is going on with our concerts. Instead I got a ton of e-mail telling me how unfair I was by changing tour dates and venues, etc. For starters, I have NOTHING to do with where we play. Neither does Paula. Concerts are bought by promoters in each city and are offered by Booking Agents. 99 % of all changes are between these people, not the touring group. I will only post schedules from now on when they are virtually set in stone. Please still check with venues to confirm our appearance, and do not write me any rude letters if things change. You wouldn't believe one letter I got from an irate fan ! Here is the schedule: November 11 328 Performance Hall / Nashville, TN 12 Mississippi Nights / St. Louis, MO 13 Day Off 14 First Avenue / Minneapolis, MN 15 The Rave @ The Eagles Auditorium / Milwaukee, WI 16 Park West / Chicago, IL 17 Capitol Theatre / Columbus, OH 18 Day Off 19 Casbah Tremont Music Hall / Charlotte, NC 20 Roxy Theatre / Atlanta, GA 21 House of Blues / Myrtle Beach, SC 22 thru 27 Thanksgiving Break 28 State Theatre / Portland, ME 29 Lupo's / Providence, RI 30 Toad's / New Haven, CT December 1 Day Off 2 Rutgers University / NJ **STUDENTS ONLY SHOW ** 3 Day Off 4 Flynn Theatre / Burlington, VT 5 SUNY / Oneonta, NY 6 Tower Theatre / Philadelphia, PA 7 UNH / Durham, NH 8 Day Off 9 Chapin Theatre / South Hadley, MA 10 Day Off 11 Backstage Ballroom / Syracuse, NY 12 Community Theatre / Morristown, NJ 13 Metropol / Pittsburgh, PA 14 Water Street Music Hall / Rochester, NY 15 Day Off 16 Beacon Theatre / NY, NY 17 930 Club / Washington DC That is all for 1997. We are taking all of January off. I'm turning 40 on January 3rd and I'll need the whole month to cope with that ; Kevin, the guitar player is getting married on January 10th, and Paula and her boyfriend are taking a well deserved vacation for a few weeks . The new video for "ME" is finished and looks fabulous. It will hopefully hit the airwaves at the beginning of the New Year. Many things are being planned for February and March. There are still many cities we need to visit in the US, Australia wants us to visit, and Europe would love us back for another tour. Nothing at all is in stone for 1998 but we will be out and about starting in February. Hope to see you at the shows - you can always visit me at the soundboard ! Talk to you all soon !
