Happy Celtic New Year!!!! May it be a prosperous and music-filled year for everyone. Just got back from Salem, Mass. early this morning following a couple days of partying up there and celebrating the Samhain sabbat with a bunch of fellow witches. My best friend and I have gone up for the annual Halloween ball at a local Salem hotel for the past three years. They always put on a fantastic party. We went as Autumn this year. Basically, I looked like Puck (Shakepeare's, not The Real World's) and my roommate looked like a female version of the same-said imp. We had pointed ears, pixie noses, and were literally festooned with silk autumn leaves. Really cool, colorful costumes that took forever to make. Turned out to be worth the effort, though. We got TONS of attention all night from the other guests (probably as much because we were half-naked as for the costumes themselves). AND....We won second place in the group category of the costume contest again this year!!!! One hundred smackeroos and an excellent dinner at the hotel's restaurant!!! YEA!!!! We won the same prize last year at the party when we went as the King and Queen of Atlantis then. So, anyway... we had a blast up in Salem. Like I said, the party, once again, was the best. A lot of the costumes other people were wearing were just amazing. We ate, drank, smoked and were just generally cavorting for most of the two days. Both of us love walking around in the rain, so yesterday was just awesome. We got to shop without having to brave throngs of tourists. :^) Sorry we didn't get to stop by for a visit, Judy. I didn't get your message until I came into the office today. :^( We'll come play in the Spring, though. Oh... and I have your bootlegs, etc. all ready to mail out. You have 'em in your hands very soon! I can't really add any real Paula content to this message other than to say that, at one point while we were walking through the hotel's bar, they were piping "Me" over their sound system. :^) Oh... one thing I will mention.... The other day I posted about Paula's appearance on Club Mix `98. The song on the album is "Cowboys." I sent that post before actually listening to the CD and assumed that it was one of the dance mixes of "Cowboys." It's not. It's just the album version. Thought I should clarify that. That's it. Hope you all enjoyed your own Halloweens!!! Peace.
