Thank you Matt for the amazing review. I appreciate hearing all of the details of the concert...from the set list to the specifics of what you liked and didn't like. I wish more critics would write reviews like that... ( Ever notice that most critics spend half the article talking about something not even related to the artist or the show?) I especially laughed at the aside, "armpit hair and all." How hilarious. And good for her. I just hope Paula is writing and thinking about her third album while she is on the road. I would hate to wait four years for her next album. BTW, does anyone know anything about the chart positions of IDWTW? How about a release date for ME? (Has the video been filmed?) I see that IDWTW is released as a cassette single only in the states. What's on the b-side? Spanish, I completely agree with you on the "one flavor of ice cream" reference!!!Why can't there be more diversity on the radio. A side note...i can feel, through paula's music, that she has had many influences, possibly r&b influences, among others, and i find it confusing to find "people" who completely dismiss rap and hip-hop, before they even try it...sure some it may be hard-core, i.e. gangsta rap,but like any type of music, there are extremes to everything...some people like rock, but don't like hard or metal, that makes sense--different tastes--but it saddens me when someone (NOT you, spanish)states that they HATE rap or hip-hop, when they may only dislike a certain type of rap...Personally, i'm a big hip-hop fan, and basically any music i can move to, i'm there!! I guess some people are set in their ways, and don't like to seek out varied music styles...That seems like a wall blocking possible growth, you know? feel free to reply if interested mb >In a message dated 97-10-19 02:53:39 EDT, Irene wrote: > ><< I'm sorry, but the day a radio station starts mixing Paula with rap or > hip-hop is the day I stop listening to that radio station (which is why I > don't listen to KIIS FM in L.A.).
