Same for my assumption that PCole never played Jolene on her Lilith dates...I assumed that since she didn't paly it at the Mountain View concert in SF (where the audience LOVED her and in my opinion BEGGED for an encore) that she wouldn't have time to play it other places. My mistakes. Does anyone have the lyrics to Suwannee or know a place where they are posted? Also, not to nag, but I still haven't heard the status of the single IDWTW (re CD5 release, remixes, bonus trax, etc) Does anyone know? Someone wrote that there are two versions of the video. Is it getting any airplay? I haven't seen it here, but was happy to catch Cowboys on the Finnish radio. If any distribution people are lurking, I cannot find HARBINGER or THIS FIRE in any of the CD stores here. I would much rather have my friends here buy the CDs than just tape them from me. Perhaps we can lighten the mood a bit.... Someone recently rehashed the subject of a possible live CD in Paula's future, which started me thinking about which songs I'd like to see on that release. Let's say, for sake of argument, that the CD would have ten tracks on it. (Obviously, other live releases have had many more than ten tracks, others much fewer - ten just seems like a nice round number.) So... if there were ten tracks on the CD, I'd love for them to be: 1. Nietzche's Eyes (still fondly recalling Paula singing this at W. 54th) 2. Road To Dead (w/ finger cymbals) 3. I Am So Ordinary (the soft, really sad version) 4. Hitler's Brothers (especially for the whistling) 5. Suwannee Jo (the live version is sooo different from the recording) 6. The Ladder (never heard it live - imagine a gospel choir for backup!) 7. Mississippi (Paula's voice hits the rafters live) 8. Oh, John (for personal reasons - preferably an acoustic version) 9. Me (also because the live version seems better than the TF version) 10. a cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" (something akin to Jeff Buckley's version would be beautiful coming from Paula) So, there's my dream of a live CD from Paula. Anyone else have dreams? Peace. Au contrare, Jill. ;) You can include those in *your* dream of a live Paula CD. ;) You see, I already have a live version of "Jolene" on the Captured Live CD that I scored a few months back from a used CD store (eat your hearts out!) Granted, it's acoustic and low-key - not the ragin' version she does with the whole band, but I wouldn't much care if that wasn't on the Dream Paula Live CD. Besides... I've seen her perform that song live so many times now (6? 7?) that it's permanently engrained in my memory. :) And "Saturn Girl"? Nah. Never thought much of that song. In fact, "SG" was never even close to making the cut for my DPL CD. My next two choices would have been "Feelin' Love" and "Chiaroscuro". Peace. Brennan's hard-rocking release contains all the explosive, pent-up energy of a teenage punk band and the soulful writing and playing of seasoned veterans, making Jack-in-the-Pulpit an album that transcends any one genre.
