Yes! In fact, I've already ripped it to .mp3... Just trying to figure out the best way to send it... (any suggestions? i don't think my email supports attatchements as big as .mp3's, and i've got a slowass dinosaur computer.) So by the way.... Hi everyone! I'm James, but you can call me Stompy. Or James. Or whatever. I'm new here. What to say, what to say.... uh.. I'm 19, live in philly, I'm a semi-professional photographer (hope to be developing some pics from the Halloween Raspy show very soon, you'll all get to see them..), I'm mostly unemployed, I'm a shameless pervert, and I'm planning a fairly large scale tattoo based on Raspy lyrics and concepts (which I'd love some imput on!) So yeah, hi... nice to meet you all, looking forward to falling deeper and deeper into the beautiful world of Rasputina. ~james~ ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 2 Nov 2001 9:06:47 -0500 From: Subject: new person...apologies for an old question?? Hi, I've been subscribed to this list for some time now but haven't posted any questions/comments so far....I'm so jealous of all you who have seen Rasputina live! :) Anyway, my question, which I apologize for if it's been asked/answered many times before is this: the songs I saw in the setlist from the Dracula's Ball....The X-Walk, This Orphanage, and Rat....are these songs available on any release or on the web somewhere? Sorry to say I've never heard of them. Also, does anyone know if the limited edition CD of covers is still available online somewhere? I probably have missed my chance to purchase one, but I thought I'd ask. Thanks! lindsay davis ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 02 Nov 2001 08:17:19 -0800 From: Porcy Subject: Re: new person...apologies for an old question?? I am rather jealous of those who saw them live too! As for the songs, you can download live versions of X-Walk and This Orphanage on me and Melly's page. www.members.tripod.com/~corset_strings/rasputina/raspy.htm In the "songs and sounds" section. You can download a snippet (studio recorded) of Rats on the official site, www.rasputina.com in the audibles section. I think there are still copies of the EP available. There are a couple links on the official site that lead to the site where you buy them. Hope this helped!! Welcome to the list... it was very quiet for a long time, but there's some talking now, as there's been so much Rasp activity lately! (which is a very, very good thing!) That's very cool that you do photography... photography is fun. Do you use the aol messenger program? If so, I think you can do file transfers through there.... Look me up! My name on there is Viola Coin. ^_^ I'm dying to hear that song, after the talk about it! Porcy >Yes! In fact, I've already ripped it to .mp3... Just trying to figure out >the best way to send it... AFAIK, it's pretty much only availble to order from the web, *however,* my local goth/ebm/industrial cd store has a bunch of copies for sale. If it *is* just a limited edition thing and runs out before any of y'all get it, I'd be happy to run out and buy copies to mail to ya. Or, in some dire situation that it becomes completely unavailable, I've got the whole thing ripped to .mp3 on my puter, and will throw it onto zip disks. Boy, the cover of "wish you were here" is just bizarre. ~james~ ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 02 Nov 2001 08:52:10 -0800 From: Porcy Subject: Re: new person...apologies for an old question?? >Boy, the cover of "wish you were here" is just bizarre. Bizarre? In what sense?? I -really- like that cover... The official site says that it's limited edition, but I don't think it's extremely limited. Just that it won't be around forever, I suppose. I actually have no idea how they've got it working. I ordered mine a long time ago though, for fear that they would run out. I love it lots. But, it's just wierd, hearing that song done like that. Like that Frente cover of "Bizarre Love Triangle," or the industrial version of "Like a Prayer." Ya get so used to a song being a certain way, and someone else does it completely differently, and yer like, "wow... that's odd." ~james~ ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 2 Nov 2001 14:32:04 EST From: Stompyboy@aol.com Subject: Re: new person...apologies for an old question?? I've got everything from Thanks for the Ether, How We Quit the Forest, Transylvanian Regurgitations, The Lost and Found, as well as a song called "Gingerbread Coffin," which exists only on the free compilation cd that was given out at Dracula's Ball (the concert they played on Halloween.) You can grab them from me off Aimster, username Stompyboy. ~james~ ------------------------------ End of goths-digest V5 #45 **************************
