Uhhh...why? Projekt has many diverse bands (everything from Lowsunday to Lycia to Love Spirals Downwards...heh), so I think Raspy would be a more than welcome addition. That's right.. Melora (along with a bunch of others) was evicted back in December, but she is back there now, as it says in the little newsbunny on the official page. Projekt has many diverse bands (everything from Lowsunday >to >Lycia to Love Spirals Downwards...heh), so I think Raspy would be a Uhhh...because - Projekt's mission statement, history, and profile all focus strongly towards darkwave. They are self-proclaimed "America's premier ethereal/gothic/ambient" label - as someone here already mentioned, that is not a whole lot of range. Rasputina have never seemed to me to be primarily a darkwave band, or even a darkwave band at all, though their versatility of style can account for hints of those kinds of traits. But, as Krodknid said, Projekt seems to be broadening their scope so it could be plausible. However, Julia's work with Projekt is not necessarily linked in any way with Rasputina anymore. To say that since Julia is creating material compatible with Projekt is NOT to say that Rasputina is also making material compatible with Projekt. Anyways, Kris, "Projekt Maven", I'm not insulting your favorite label. Though I can see Projekt welcoming Rasputina, I don't see the ethereal/darkwave/ambient focus being particularly beneficial to the band. All I mean is that their visions don't seem compatible to me. ;) > > Speaking of Projekt, I won this week's contest. =P >Kristin (your resident Projekt Maven). congrats! _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. ------------------------------ End of goths-digest V5 #31 **************************
