Makes me even more excited for the new album! Enjoy... - ------------------------------ The artist, Melora Creager , May 2, 2000 The difference between "ether" and the "forest" I am very pleased to know many of our fans are still being loyal to us, but i dont understand why some must always compare our previous releases with our newer ones. They are not to be judged but only to be enjoyed for what they are. We are always striving to create a newer unique sound and we dont want to always do the same thing. I know our true fans will always stay behind us. As of now i am pregnant i am 4months now. I am hoping to get back in the studio soon after birth. We do have plenty of new material i want to experiment with. Thank you so much for your support ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 31 May 2001 21:33:16 EDT From: KrodKnid@aol.com Subject: Re: Melora's message at Amazon In a message dated 5/31/2001 5:11:48 PM Eastern Daylight Time, blacktapeforabluegrl@earthlink.net writes: > I don't know if any of you have run across this yet, but it's a > message from Amazon.com that Melora posted last year on the page for How > We Quit the Forest. As for a new album, there are a lot of tunes "in the can" already...but Rasputina is currently without a label, so who can say when they will be released. There were rumours of TWO new albums...one was purported to be all covers. If you go to Melly and Porcy's site you can download several live versions of new songs from the Knitting Factory show last October in New York. There are also some rare tracks that weren't on either album, as well as clips from the new official (non-Sony/Columbia) Raspy site (where you can also get the samples). Rasputina's Official Website http://www.rasputina.com/ Porcy & Melly's Rasputina Page Ver. 7.0 http://members.tripod.com/~corset_strings/rasputina/raspy.htm *********************************** P.S. If you download songs from Porcy and Melly, read the updates section first...some of the song titles are scrambled and the MP3 you get will not be the same as the title. The links for the MP3 downloads are from a friend's site, so P&M can't do anything about it. They explain which songs are actiually which on their updates page. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 31 May 2001 19:56:13 -0700 From: porcelina Subject: Re: Melora's message at Amazon >P.S. Actually, if you check the updates, you will see that the problem is all fixed up.. the song titles are all matched up to their proper songs, I think! I haven't checked them all, but Julie said that she fixed them up, so I'm sure everything's alright. Melly and I played our Rasp song last night for grad variety, it was smacktastic. We were thrilled to get all dressed up and stuff. Ahhh...well, silly Amazon must've made a mistake or something. They're not nearly as bad as CDNow.com when it comes to screwing things up... > As for a new > album, there are a lot of tunes "in the can" already...but Rasputina > is > currently without a label, so who can say when they will be released. > There > were rumours of TWO new albums...one was purported to be all covers. I'll definitely check it out. I think it would be great if Projekt signed Cranes too, who I believe are also labelless at this point and have a bunch of new material. Seraph Records would also be good, but Projekt is now located in New York City and is "healthier" than Seraph. I also wonder what the odds of The Changelings signing on with Projekt might be, since they have worked on compilations with Sam before and seem to be friends. Projekt is becoming THE haven for true artists in the belle noir music community...they have people like Peter Ulrich of Dead Can Dance now, as well as a host of others. ------------------------------ End of goths-digest V5 #30 **************************
