Hi all, I don't even live in the US and not once to my knowledge has Rasputina come up to Canada or more specifically, Vancouver BC where I live. I think the fan base up here might be weak or something. The only other person I knew that liked Rasputina passed away. Yikes! Are there any other living Canadian fans of Rasputina other than me? Maybe all the Canadian fans can petition to get Rasputina up here... and not just Toronto or Montreal... Vancouver needs some decent shows, and it would be so awesome to have Rasputina here. ok bye Erika ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 11 Aug 2000 07:16:16 EDT From: KrodKnid@aol.com Subject: Re: the fez... I"m planning on bringing my 14 and a half year old step-daughter. It is a big surprise for her. She could have gone to a Misfits show but opted for this surprise instead. I never had cool parents who took me to shows; the first show my dad ever took me to was the Beach Boys in '81 I think. But then the next show I attended was an Ozzy one. So we take Zoe to as many shows as we can. The last one we all saw was the Psych Furs, and before that she saw Juliana Hatfield with her Dad, then we all saw Type O last year in CT, Bob Mould, Fountains Of Wayne, Low... You should all check out the policies of clubs, because one here in CT, Toad's Place, does have under and over 21 shows. BUT I found out, which they don't tell you on the phone or on their website, is that if you are under 21 accompanied by a parent or guardian, you can attend, or if no parent there is an area in the club upstairs that you can see the show from. (don't answer that. purely theoretical. and a little me being tres crotchety cause i aint goin to anythang.) i think i've tried to see low by myself 3047 times. but somethings always gone wrong. maybe i should take my ma. > instead. But then the next goodness gracious. now, my mom's pretty hip, but not that hip. though she did want to go see luna with me.. but about all she ever really offered to take me to see was the grateful dead. hm. i was very polite about declining. i vehemently dislike all hippies but my mom. her i adore. funny how things work. love. jennifer members.aol.com/nahaliel mp3.com/stations/catgirl_elocution "and, for the first time in my innocent and confined life, i sensed in myself a potentiality for corruption that took my breath away." Maybe all the Canadian fans can petition to get Rasputina up here... Yay for Canadian Rasputina fans!!! I'm in Kamloops (blah), as is my friend.. who's also on the list, but is away right now. I would love it if Rasputina would play here!! That would be so very very exciting. I actually had a dream last night that I went to a Raspy concert. And there was a guy dressed up as a gorilla playing the violin, and it was Melora, Julia and Ag, but Julia's cello broke and she had to play a bass... Anyways, seeing Rasputina would be excellent, because then I'd have seen my two favourite bands! I just saw the Smashing Pumpkins (at Summersault..) soo.... I must see Raspy! And unfortunately, I'm not rich, and couldn't make a trip down to New York or even Ontario.. Seattle, maybe.. Vancouver- definately!
