Four is never enough. > So form your own list Hmm... This is hard to tell if it's like, someone telling people who bitch about non-rasp content to get their own list, or someone who bitches about non-rasp content. Someone needs to redefine their intentions. If you're the first one, I would recommend you starting YOUR own list, and if you're the second, i would recommend you starting YOUR own list. In short, if you're looking to make the world a better place, stop pointing at others to start first, and you do it. As for me, I'm happy here, and it doesn't really matter what you guys bitch about, unless you're the list-op, so you might as well make the world a better place and stop bitching... It doesn't bother me, either way... It's easy to read over your bitchin'. > and for a list purist such as yourself, this would > be the kind of thing you take to private mail. Hahah... Hmm. hehe. Maybe someone should post a "friendly" (NRC-laden) rasputina list? hah... seems like a good idea to me, but hell... If I was making a list, it would be a NAC-laden aphex twin list, and you'd all be invited... the ones that bitched about NAC would be kicked off immediately so that they wouldn't be bothered with mindless dribble non pertaining to aphextwin. (for their best interests, of course.) If anyone would be interested in an aphextwin list, let me know... (not that if you were you'd be on this list or anything...) haha Fiver. http://www.angelfire.com/me3/blue13/ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 24 Oct 1999 11:02:58 -0400 From: "Klyph" Subject: Re: music? Smith" Subject: NRC - about NRC Hi all, I feel obligated to reply to what seems to be a constant issue. Our mailing list is usually limited to five pieces of mail a day, 10 at most, and I don't think that is an unreasonable amount of mail, even if it isn't relevent to Rasputina. Some people believe it is, though, and to respect those people I don't think it is unreasonable to put NRC in the heading. At the same time, since there is relatively little pure Rasputina material open to discussion at this point, I don't see any problems with digressions. Furthermore, you can usually tell from the heading if it's Rasputina related or not even if NRC is not explicitly written; the time it takes to decipher from a heading if the message is directly related to Rasputina is realtively nill. We can try to honor the NRC request, but even if we don't, I don't think it's that big of a deal. And I don't think we want definite, formal rules making everyone always write NRC for the slightest digressions. I guess it would be nice to recognize that some people have problems with digressions, but I don't think we should limit ourselves as a result. If we remember to write NRC, well, it's a definite plus.
