Make the squares 6" by 6". I am thinking that the each blanket should be 8 squares by 8 squares, that makes it a 4 by 4 blanket. Is that too big, not big enough or just right? You can send as many squares as you like. The more the better, actually. We are going to need 192 squares to make three 4 foot square blankets, so we better get working. I don't know what the specifics of this quilting project are, but I'm running a quilt swap on alt.gothic.fashion, and I have asked that people _not_ use glue, as our squares will eventually be made into pillows or large quilts. If you _can_ sew, there are plenty of books with very basic designs. or you could do something as simple as a few smaller squares stitched together, or sewing a nice decorative trim or ribbon onto the fabric in a simple design. sometimes simplicity is the most elegant presentation. - -posbina (adding her crafty 2 cents) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 4 Jun 1999 01:54:28 EDT From: ImAZeroSP@aol.com Subject: design idea... i have an idea to paint 3 corsets with cello bows with the ladies's names underneath them... possible a red background.. tho i would like the corsets to be either red, black, and blue; or red, blue, and green... hmmm... maybe a black background with purple, red, and blue.... hmmm... silver for names...? but im NOT supposed to use that paint-glue-coloured fabric stuff?? somebody please list EXACTLY what can/cannot be put on it... i dont know how im gonna do this!! the three grrls are still all in it right?
