Dear Santa, =)hi! Your non-apology is *accepted*. Hey, i think low-intensity flame wars are still fun. I mean, very Toreador-esque: "I shall slap you in the face~" "No, i shall kiss you with bitter lips", or such brouhaha. First, David Bowman wrote Let the Dog Drive. If you don't read it, you can't be my friend! Second, there is nothing guilty about reading children's books. I reccommend anything by Chris Van Ahlsburg (Polar Express, Mysteries of Harris Burdick, The Sweetest Fig, The Gardens of Abdul Gasazi etc), Stellaluna (I can't remember the author, soory. It's about a baby bat that ends up with baby birds. Lovely story, amazing illustrations) and Cooper Edens' books The Caretakers of Wonder and If You're Afraid of the Dark...Remember the Night Rainbow (I'm not sure if they're available in the States right now, but they were some of my favorite books when I was little. And now). Children's books are just as worthy a pursuit as some of the self-indulgent, self-righteous adult stuff. Don't gow up. Even if they make you! It's only bad if you're juvenile, child-like is endearing! liza jane (and her loud inner child) ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 11 Feb 1999 19:32:03 EST From: Chris L Smith Subject: #Rasputina Hi all- I recently received an email from someone interested in speaking with the founder of the Rasputina channel on Dalnet. Unfortunately, I do not have the founder's email address, so if you're on the list, please respond! Also, remember that we DO have a channel on Dalnet, #Rasputina, for those with IRC software. It'd be neat if we could set an "official" time for people to drop in and chat (I know there are others of you who sign on, I've met a couple people, but never more than two on the channel at the same time). Lemme know what you think. Thanks, Chris ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
