I'm sure that the ladies would appreciate it, since they're nice enough to answer our questions and even acknowledge us! How many bands that you know do that? Hi again. Whoever decides to take charge of this, it would be really nice if the people who conrtibute got a copy, even just photocopied. Or someone could scan the whole thing in, or something like that. I was on a Smashing Pumpkins list, and they were doing something like this, only it never really went anywhere, and no one ever did anything. I hope this doesn't happen with this, cuz I'm really interested in making this happen! We should get started on it probably as soon as possible, because who knows how long it'll take to get the whole thing put together. So, we just need to figure out who will take charge of this, and get started!! (this is fun!) ~Eva (Anja) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 20 Jan 1999 22:47:03 EST From: Chris L Smith Subject: Re: An album of us? I think I speak for all of us when I say thank you!!!! If you're willing to work on it, sounds great to me (and the rest of us too, I hope!) I'll let you work out the details, and maybe others have suggestions too, but here is what I suggest: 1) everyone who participates sends a couple bucks to cover xeroxing, shipping for copies of the albums, and shipping for the final album to the band 2) you get a list of everyone who will participate before you start asking for submissions, so we are guaranteed of having a large amount of pages (it might look pretty silly if we only have a half-dozen pages compiled into a tiny album) 3) you might want to get specifications (size of page, materials permitted, etc). I know I would like to include a picture of me and my cello, as well as a little bit about how much the band has meant to me. Sounds cool! It'd be even neater if, instead of mailing it, we could hand deliver it to the girls after a concert.... I know I would like to include a picture of me and my > cello, as well as a little bit about how much the band has meant to me. alright, it'll just be a basic 8 by 11 1/2 sheet of paper. (i think that's the size). just a normal sheet of paper. you can use *any* materials you want, just try and make it so you're proud of it, and are proud to have rasputina looking at it. as for the content of the page, you can write a letter, a poem, a story, prose, draw/paint a picture, make a collage - anything inspired by rasputina, or you also opt to write about yourself, and include a picture if you wish. this is basically just anything you want to show rasputina, how they've influenced you, etc. i think we're all pretty diversified as far as our creativness, so i don't want to set limits on what you can and can't do. it's really up to you. > Sounds cool! It'd be even neater if, instead of mailing it, we could hand > deliver it to the girls after a concert.... yes- this sounds great. but, i know i won't be attended any rasputina concert anytime soon, so after the album is finished and there's a list member attending a show who thinks s/he can get the album to them, then i could mail it to them. we'll see how this aspect turns out. riley is going to help me with this, too. my email address is cory@bluemarble.net riley's is darcy@bluemarble.net and for our street address, email us, cause we don't really want anything super unexpected, so let us know before you send it and we'll give you all the specifics. thanks everybody! corinna ------------------------------ End of goths-digest V3 #20 **************************
