(hopefully it will be a solo tour!) but this 21+ thing truly blows. I was kinda scared that when they came to michigan it would be 18+ (because of these new laws that didnt pass, but nonetheless seem to have gone into effect). does rasputina or their management or whatever know about US? because if there is a tour of 21+ only venues in the future, then the majority of folks on this list are fucked. seriously, how many people on this list are 21+??? not many, im sure. arg. in the meantime,i guess someone in the ny area should call Shine to confirm the show. toriniss, steve ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Aug 1998 13:28:58 -0400 From: Larry Davis Subject: RE: ticketmaster site Hey, I just called up Shine and, yup, Rasputina IS playing there on September 1st, and it's not just the show, but for ALL shows there, it is 21+, as there's a bar on the premises. I had a problem with 21+ Bob Mould concert, and I am a minor, but the way I circumvented that problem was to: speak with the owner of the establishment and use connections to get onto a "guest list" that the performer provides the place. Although communicating with the actual band in this case would probably be kinda difficult if their PO Box is shut down. You could leave a message on the official site's bulletin board and hope for a reply...or you could find someone over 21 to walk in with - I have managed to get into a couple 21+ concerts because I was with someone over 21. I wish the band posted these dates on their site! Any other concerts anyone know of? A couple reasons why: One, if someone could come away with a bootleg, we could start a tape tree. Two, it would be nice if we could have a full review of each concert from now on. You know, talk about how the band sounded, how the audience responded, an entire setlist, etc. Three, Goths could keep an eye out for each other at the concert. Once we get shirts, spotting each other should be so much easier! So if you are planning on going, maybe let other Goths know. Also e-mail me privately, cause there's a couple favors I would like to ask of anyone going to the concert.
