And for a few seconds, I was wondering where and how could I resived it, and I remembered that I entered that contest on there web site, I just wanted to know Am I the only one that won this or are there more winners? Welp see ya sean ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Aug 1998 13:31:06 PDT From: "SaRa LeE LuCaS" Subject: watch me mope ......once upon a time, there was a little girl who was quite broke. And of all the horrid times to be moins d'argent (i hope that's right, correct me if i'm wrong...heh) it was just when the new cd came out. (okay, so this little girl had $15, but she needed it to go to the comic con and get the rest of the squee comics she needed. and she got to chat with jhonen, which positively ruled ass.) so she moped and fell silent on the mailing list, for it is hard to participate in conversations about songs she has not heard. the only comfort she found in this time of no rasputina was the real audio soundclips on the official site. (and, whilst she played the clip for diamond mind, her little sister pointed out that they were playing the music from the deBeers commercial in the background....*is not sure if anyone's pointed that out yet*) and hence we come to the end of this extremely pointless email. bye +*+SaRa+*+ http://members.xoom.com/saraleelucas ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Aug 1998 16:42:29 EDT From: Twiglet667@aol.com Subject: Re: watch me mope In a message dated 8/20/98 4:34:43 PM Eastern Daylight Time, i_rasputina@hotmail.com writes: << her little sister pointed out that they were playing the music from the deBeers commercial in the background....*is not sure if anyone's pointed that out yet*) >> Actually, I think Diamond Mind is a mockery of the DeBeers commercials (and the like), and that the music is as well. Its not the music from the commercials, but very similiar. The song is Palladio, and I belive it was composed by Karl Jenkins. I've performed it at a festival or two... And adding to the debate over who's singing, I believe it to be Melora. When you listen to it enough times it really sounds like her. At least, to me it does. But since this topic seems to have died, and if it's resurrected it'll just continue in another stalemate, just ignore me.... katie - -- As featured by Papa-Pan! -- ICQ#1791425 "Aluminum foil, makes a nice hat and keeps out the government's brain control rays." ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Aug 1998 19:24:53 -0400 From: candlesdie@juno.com (marcescent robert.)
