Has anyone else noticed that these songs have more of a sing-a-long quality than the last album? especially the choruses...The New Zero and Trenchmouth. and THings im Gonna do...the "oh so long ago" and the "oh so far away" parts:) i also really like the way the songs are balanced... THe Olde Headboard is probably my least favorite song...the only cool part is the spanish:) ok, so i said that Leechwife sounds manson-inspired. Well, i was reading that article from musician, and there was actually quite a lot about that song. Vrenna said Melora wanted the extremely sarcastic and cheesy song to sound like a rock band. so in a way, its seems to me that it is more like a manson-mockery. next time i come to the comp lab i'll bring the article and quote that part of it. as for Rose K., this is one of the saddest Rasputina songs. i like it better than Mr E Leon Rauis, mainly because its told from Rose Kennedy's point of view. its really sad though. my best friend, whose grandfather has alzheimers, started bawling the first time she heard it. Ok, im finished babbling toriniss, steve ps-who originally did Things im Gonna do? ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 9 Aug 1998 22:31:37 EDT From: KiNsAnItY@aol.com Subject: Re: manson? naw the beginning riffs on leech wife which repeat within the song are nearly identical to those of Ozzy's Crazy Train... thus maybe more of an Ozzy/Black Sabbath influence then a manson one methinks, ~k ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 9 Aug 1998 23:25:11 EDT From: XWINSLETX@aol.com Subject: tour... Does anyone out there think that there is even the remotest of chances that the ladies will tour with Marilyn Manson again? Their album is coming out in a month, and it is a very interesting thought... I would love to see them do a very small club tour, myself. I think that would be splendid. From what I understand it is merely a group mailing from the record company to those that sign up....like a postcard that says "new album Aug. 4th" or whatever. I don't think the "official" list was meant to undermind the Goths but simply a way for them to inform us of their plans and intentions. my 6 bits Matt PaleMisery@aol.com wrote: >In a message dated 98-08-08 23:44:13 EDT, you write: > ><< I am a little disappointed that Rasputina found it necessary to go and > create an "official" mailing list. Or do a tour of their own in which they aren't stuck being the opening act. I ended up missing all but 4 songs when they opened for Cranes, due to the poor advertising of band time on the part of the club. > > I would love to see them do a very small club tour, myself.
