I've never seen so many people go to a club just to stand around and gab, though.. there were tons of people and only a handful of them dancing.. there were like six hours of two or three DJs and two fabulous floors of music and what do the most people run out of their corners for? annoying hard mixes of NIN and Manson, and of course the (I love it but it's cliched to death) Ubiquitous Mr Lovegrove.. disgraceful really, when there was such good music being played.. sometimes I just really want to hurt people.. harumph.. I mean, come on! they played a-ha! how can one not be psyched?! but nooo, they just stood there.. but what can one expect from grown men running about with fangs on.. but I'm not going to go into that now..if you think you're a vampire, um, more power to you.. so what's Blade about anyway? jennifer http://members.aol.com/nahaliel/psycho.htm "...A woman drew her long black hair out tight And fiddled whisper music on those strings And bats with baby faces in the violet light Whistled..." - --T.S. I'll spare the intro. as this is most likely the last thing I will ever post. In the process of moving I came across a few magazines I had initially acquired because of their Rasputina content. I wonder if there are any rabid Rasputina collectors out there who would like them? There are three...the first is from the always underwhelming "Black Moon" magazine. The interview is formulaic and poorly written, but it's from back when Carpella was still in the band so it might be of interest to someone. The second is issue #24 of "Propaganda." If you can wade through the slick pretension of the preceding pages the interview itself is pretty good. The last is from "Scrawl" magazine. Rasputina is on the cover, there are several original pictures inside and a decent interview... All followed by a six page Lydia Lunch ordeal!! This is the best of the three. I'm not attempting to make any money off of this, I just want them to go to a good home. So if anyone is interested, send me an address. Otherwise they'll suffer the ill fate of the recycling bin in a few days time. thanks. bye. sarah anam@gurlmail.com "Well-behaved women rarely make history." - --Laurel Thatcher Ulrich get your free gURLmAIL at http://www.gURLmAIL.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 Jun 1998 10:11:08 -0700 From: "sarah" Subject: Rasputina mags (pt. 2 grrrr...) well damn this free email. so the last line of my post should have read: if anyone is interested, send me an address. otherwise i'm sacrificing these magazines to the recycling gods. have a nice day. - --sarah get your free gURLmAIL at http://www.gURLmAIL.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 Jun 1998 14:26:30 EDT From: DiscoVampr@aol.com Subject: Re: Rasputina on Blade and Vampires soundtracks! Which remix is going to be on the soundtracks? The Manson or the Radio Edit. Yeah, I know they're both the same (excpet the Radio Edit has that sweet extra minute of music on it) but I'm just curious. Oh, yeah, this is for Jenifer and anyone else that cares: The Blade movie is about a half vampire/half man. He has all the powers of a vampire except he can go out in the day adn I don't think he needs to drink blood. In classic "hero" fashion, he rejects his vampire curse and takes it upon himself to kill all the vampires in the world. So it's basically just him running around and killing vampires. But it looks pretty good. I'm going to go see it. Oh, yeah, it's based on a Marvel comic book: The Nightstalkers. It's a good zine. Well, that's all I have to say. Yep. That's it. There's no more. Why are you scrolling down this far? Stop reading the mail, there's no more! What are doing? Stop it. Okay, now this is getting silly. I'm leaving now. I mean it. So stop scrolling down. Geez...you have to be a rebel, don't you? - -Mike ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 Jun 1998 14:32:50 -0400 (EDT) From: Happy Fantom Subject: [none] > And it sounded great!
