Im Julie, Im 16, and I live in Western New York. My favorite bands are: 1.) Nine Inch Nails 2.) Atari Teenage Riot/Alec Empire 3.) Rasputina 4.)Aphex Twin and there is more but I'm drawing a blank. I like to eat strawberry things and I like the computer. I have a stupid sense of humor, or maybe somewhat twisted, but that's okay. I don't consider myself goth, but when people see my picture they think I am. I can't really put a label on myself, which I guess is a good thing. I like to sleep and read books that usually end up a waste of money. I like to go shopping and buy plastic japanimation key chains, I like to drive in cars. I like to try and have fun, but it is very hard because I hate it here. hmmmm......what else.....my ICQ# is 2082859 okay seeya later alligators Luv, Julie On Wed, 20 May 1998, The it Grl wrote: > i introduced myselk awhile ago, but it looks as though everyone's having fun > doing so, so, i will again! > my name is karen elizabeth. i do NOT play the cello, but i do love it and, > coincidentally, any boy that plays it. i do play the oboe, however, and want > to do it professionally, if at all possible. i enjoy reading and frequenting > NY museums. i like a variety of music, including everclear, some british > groups (sleeper, echobelly, pulp), and cindy lauper. i hate marylin manson > and do think that he's evil, although i would never admit that to his face--it > owuld give him too much pleasure. i am 16, a soph in hs, and i love my > parents. i don't eat wheat, do eat meat, and i hate those big shoes girls are > wearing. > ciao > ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 May 1998 09:24:09 -0400 (EDT) From: commander sven Subject: Re: nice to meet you, too... I suppose I shall join the intro frenzy! I'm Tim and it seems we have quite a few members in the Western NY area because I too live in Buffalo. My music tastes range from your standard alternieve music (sorry), with in reason of cource I don't like Bush and other worthless crap like them, to the likes of Leather Strip, Skinny Puppy, Switchblade Symphony, Rasputina(of cource), NIN, Marilyn Manson, and a bunch of others. I'm currently a struggling musician but maybe someday that'll change and I can quit my crappy job! tim forever is never too long... ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 May 1998 12:03:50 -0400 (EDT) From: Laura McCutchan Subject: Re: um, reintro.. > i can't remember my first intro so in honor of the late trickle of > introductions think i will send out another.. Hey, well, i've been on the list for some time now...but i dont recall ever doing an intro...um...i dont recall saying anything actually. the list has been quite dead for awhile:) hehe. Anyways, my name is steve, and im a soph at university of michigan. I'm not "goth". i think that labels are lame. (hehe, i just KNOW im gonna get a bunch of emails saying that its NOT a label, its a "way of life") i dont even get why this is called the "goths" list. i dont listen to rasputina because they are supposedly goth. oh well. I just happen to appreciate talented and innovative artists whose music actually has a point to it. the funniest thing is that the Rasputina website has a quote of Melora laughing at some interviewer who asked them if they were goth. ok, just wanted to get that out for quite awhile now:) ok, im done complaining about the list name:) so, i got into rasputina...ummm...lessee...um....it was after a manson concert...that was...er...early 1997? i guess? i dont remember. doesnt matter. the best thing about Thanks for the Ether, is that its one of those few albums that you can put on and listen to all the way through. i love it:) i dont have a favorite song, i love all of them. I love the historical allusions too...it makes me feel like all those jr high history classes were actually beneficial, at least in one way;) the best thing about Transylvanian Regurgitations is...umm...uh...nothing. i thought the manson remixes sucked. the only cool thing was melora's voice at the end of one of them. Ok, so my High Priestess is Tori Amos. My favorite band is nine inch nails, with rasputina RIGHT behind them. :) I also adore Bjork, Loreena Mckennitt, Siouxsie and the Banshees, PJ Harvey, Dead can dance, Poe, Liz Phair, sarah mc (pre-surfacing), Garbage, Veruca Salt. i could go on for hours. anyways, i cant wait for the new album!!!!! and for the Ladies to do some recitals! something to look forward to this dreadful summer:) later toriniss, steve "And is it true that devils end up like you Something safe for the picture frame And is it true that devils end up like you So tied up you don't know how she came" --Tori "She's Your Cocaine" ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 May 1998 15:16:10 PDT From: "SaRa LeE LuCaS" Subject: no subject, really...more of an object...predicate, perhaps? aww, this is so darling! everyone's pretending that this is a real mailing list.....it's just so cute.... it's sorta weird though.....we never say a word about rasputina, but we go on endlessly about ourselves. i think this should be the ego mailing list instead of the goths list. (and that is a joke if any of you were actually offended...however, it seems i must always explain my sarcasm) hmm..okay byebye +*+SaRa+*+ http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Stage/1587 so lock the kids up safe tonight and shut the eyes in the cupboard do not cry out our hit the alarm you'll get the loneliest feeling that either way you turn, i'll be there open up your skull, i'll be there climbing up the walls - -- radiohead ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 May 1998 21:48:15 -0400 From: "wm.jones" Subject: [none] Greetings, everyone.
