Nobody ever really has an accent until you leave your region/area whatever... I guess one could say that I've meshed my "Jersey" accent (I'm originally from the shore) into a New York City accent... but if I'm around or speaking on the phone to my German co-workers in Frankfurt, I can pick up on the Frankfurt dialect easily... the most flattering compliment I got when I was in Germany is that I speak German without an *American* accent!
