PETA-philes? Sexual deviants from PETA (the people for ethical treatment of animals)? Yea, it is Melora who gives the speeches. I think it's in the Scrawl article (if not that, then another) where she describes how she comes up with what to say. Correct me if I'm wrong cause this is straight from the memory banks (which have been inundated with too much school), but the day of the concert she just sits down and writes some strange stuff - I'm not sure if she reads it or has it memorized by concert time. She said how hard it was to write spoken word stuff for the album since people have to listen to it over and over; it's hard to write a strange story that doesn't get boring after hearing it 5 or 6 times. For another look at Melora's authoring talents, she has an ongoing (although not updated) 'saga' on the official site (www.rasputina.com) that is extremely interesting......there's a link to it from the main page. So.....should we continue the interpretations of lyrics? Stumpside, anyone? Chris And it IS melora on the spoken words for the album, using voice distortion effects. ------------------------------ End of goths-digest V1 #34 **************************
