Kiya Rosi:) Ever tried transcribing stuff from [Ether], to play for your own personal pleasure? Similar to how a friend gets Tori's so she could do such on the piano? Could be worth your while:) For imho, the cello is one of the most dire, romance-stricken instruments -- and the music one can *squeeze* from such an instrument could do wonders for one's self-fulfillment! I spoke too soon, and in unheeded arrogance -- would you ever forgive this indiscretion? Last night: happened to [cross over] for a while and spend time with *hardliner* MManson'ers. Was quite a pleasant experience! But -- we are bound by honesty to tell that of their music, the rest I still cannot appreciate. That collaboration with the Sneaker Pimps (on the SPAWN st) holds some promise, though. MManson brings such joy on an otherwise dreary evening. I'm not saying that this has been a problem yet, but there are busy people out there who don't want to wait for, like, 20 messages to download that just have a couple words and not much of a point. Try to combine messages into one or two, so we don't end up with 4 or 5 people contributing 10 rather meaningless messages each. I think everyone understands, so..... tee shirts: I have gotten one design turned in so far, and while it looks alright, it isn't exactley what I envisioned. I am willing to get the shirts printed and mail them, but anyone out there who likes to design graphics, go for it! Mail everything you'd like to see on a tee shirt to: kingcello@geocities.com . I'd like actual designs - not one or two images that could be combined into a usuable design. I'm looking for the real thing. Designs for the front AND back would be appreciated; if I get enough, I'll post them on the web site and have people vote for which one we should print. Feel free to use as many colors as possible, make it as large as you want it, etc. I know of one place that will print a design on front (one color) and one on the back (3 colors) for only $7.50 a shirt with a $70 surcharge. if we get better looking colorful designs, I'll find a new place to print shirts. Hope artists out there can contribute, and lemme know at foxmulder@juno.com when you mail graphics to kingcello@geocities.com cause I don't check my kingcello address much. In Bloomington we only have a few shit mainstream rock - top 40 - country stations, then we have a wonderful community radio station (I'm not just saying that because my dad is one of the founders). This station plays just about everything. It has speciality shows, such as blues, soul, local music, and more, and then it has some mix shows where they play assorted mixes of music. They contribute their top 20 (or is it 30?... im not sure) to CMJ every month. My dad makes up the list because he's the program directer, I'm thinking maybe I could give him the new Rasputina EP and force him (hehe) to put it in "the pond", which is a place where they put new really good releases. I have the station's copy of it right now (I need to buy my own!), so I'll turn it in reviewed with grade:A on it.. yay!.. hehe, sorry I'm just thinking aloud here. Anyway I'm just wondering if you hear them on radio stations anywhere? I've played them twice on Youth Radio. About Vic Chesnutt, I bought the new issue of Raygun today, and it has this story about Billy Bob Thorton, Widespread Panic, and Vic Chesnutt. I bought it because of that but unfortunatly theres hardly anything about vic Chesnutt.. which sucks. But Billy Bob Thorton is pretty cool (the director of Sling Blade).. If any Vic Chesnutt fans on the list haven't seen Sling Blade yet you really need to.. Vic is so cute in it.. hehe.. Well theres also an article on Sleater-Kinney in there so that made me happy.. its a pretty good issue. thats it.. hope i didnt bore you to death Corinna *^*^*^*^*^*^*^* The Windows Of My Soul Are Made Of ~One Way Glass~ http://www.bluemarble.net/~cory/ani.html the mainstream is so polluted with lies, once you are wet it's so hard to get dry Ani DiFranco ------------------------------ End of goths-digest V1 #4 *************************
