I'm glad everyone has decided to join this list; as of 6:30 this morning, over 25 people had subscribed already! And about 10 more have joined up to this time. Tell your friends, tell your parents, tell everyone! Join 'The Goths'! I'd like to quickly describe what I think can be accomplished on this list, and hear everyone's opinions on it. I have been on many band lists in the past (notably the Sugar/Bob Mould list), but haven't started on a list since it's creation, so bear with me! I think things might start slow the first few weeks so everyone can introduce themselves, then I hope we can start answering questions from people who have them. I imagine the list might slow down for a while at that point, but we can stick through it and I hope that this list becomes recognized as a helpful and worthwhile organization. Hopefully we can support Rasputina's career in many ways: post posters before a concert, distribute music to radio stations, etc. I would like to see 'The Goths' as a group that doesn't just talk about Rasputina and how much everyone should listen to them, but actually does something about it! Chris Smith ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 4 Sep 1997 22:38:41 -0500 (EST) From: just a pretty little princess Subject: moi... alright, well heres me intrductory bit... i'm a 13 year old female, in eighth grade.. i volunteer at the community radio station here in bloomington indiana... go on the show 'youth radio' from time to time.. i hate to be conceited but the show sucks when i'm not on it.. they play no doubt, aqua (i'm a barbie girl.. blah blah), spice girls, ect. last time i was on i played rasputina, rammstein, boss hog, ect.. i love really all kinds of music.. my favourite bands include, L7, Lisa Germano, Ani DiFranco, Boss Hog, Fluffy, The Toasters, Poe, Less Than Jake, Link-80, Sleater Kinney, Mephiskapheles, Enya, Sloan, September67, Vic Chesnutt, Jewel, Fiona Apple and so on and so forth... (didn't list Rasputina, cause hey, it's a given)..
