Gary Gackstatter, the director of the symphony wrote the charts for this. I
know of at least one other time John has done this with the Winfield Symphony,
could have been more.
According to an interview John did:
"The director of the symphony really liked my music, and has for a long time.
We used the new record, so we had something to practice to, and something
that I could listen to, so I could remember how I did them! I got in Saturday
night, and ran over them before the show. Also there was a little band that acted
as a rhythm section and nucleus for the orchestra, it worked out really well.
This is one of those shows I have always thought about traveling for...maybe
someday. At the Gorka fan site we have this quote from Gary Gackstatter about
John:
"John's songs are timeless and people sense that, even hearing him for the
first time. He's far more than just an entertainer; he's an entire generation's
poet."
- -- Gary Gackstatter, Conductor
Winfield Regional Symphony, Winfield, Kansas
Just dreaming about music on a most beautifully mild day in Illinois. I hope
the weather is good where you are.

PS Still wondering when John will work on his web site.

Mr. Gackstatter was kind enough to send me an original copy of the the Symphony's music charts for "Good Noise" from the first concert, years ago, complete with handwritten notations.
I've pretty much stopped wondering when John will work on the web-site.

He would SING his State of the Union Address -- and other major speeches,
too.

I agree, very good. I love the end. It would be great to have someone with
John's heart as Pres. Just for a moment, take the whole thing literally and
imagine the JG we know in the Oval Office. It is quite amusing. I can just
picture him shaking the phone to get the final words out...

In keeping with the nasty political campaigns that have been sweeping the
country....and that will now be ending as the votes are counted and
recounted to
find the winners....I say lets keep the negativity going!
Boycott John Gorka until he gets his bulletin board back up and running!
We're Online, We're Fine, Give Us our Board!

I am just so happy the attack ads for political races are off the
airways now. It was nasty in Illinois as I know it has been elsewhere. The
more
money you got, the nastier you can be more often.
Anybody heard John lately? I leave tomorrow for 4 days in MN to hear David
Wilcox and hang out with friends. I see John is performing in Minneapolis
Saturday night ....might try and go and hold up my sign....We're Online,

Fine, Give Us Our Board!
