Some day I am going to plan a vacation around one of these festivals. I actually got to see Cosy Sheridan last year right here in St Joe, Mo at a little place called Cafe Acoustic. I ended up buying 2 of her CDs. Round here the venues are few and far between but Lawrence Ks is only about an hour away and they have an active folk scene...I have seen JG there a few times, Lucy Kaplansky, Dave Carter & Tracy Grammer and several others. I envy those of you who live in areas where these concerts are a frequent event. Bryn...I still want to get to Chicago for a house concert!! off to work I go.....Mary - -----Original Message----- From: Mike Smith To: good-noise@smoe.org . Although he is not on their roster his tour schedule is still at http://www.flemtam.com/jg-itin.html, and probably will be for a while. When Dar Williams got new booking agents, her flem-tam schedule remained up after her name disappeared from the roster. However, if he has changed booking agents we are going to need a new source for his touring schedule. Something a little more reliable than Musi-Cal I hope. Perhaps he's finished roasting? :-) But seriously -- I've heard rumors of the Fleming/Tamulevich partnership breaking up. Perhaps they're in the process of dividing the roster between them? That's just a guess. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= OTTO BOST Producer/Host of "Acoustic Eclectic" FolkDude@aol.com Mondays 7-9 PM Quakertown, PA USA 88.1 & 93.9 WDIY-FM, Allentown =-=-=< http://members.aol.com/folkdude/acouecle.html >=-=-= ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 30 Apr 2002 11:06:08 -0400 From: Smithfinn@aol.com Subject: Re: Gorka in Madison Mike, Nice review. All my emails to you have been bounced...can you send me a note? To new email address? I can't seem to subsribe under new address. Soft rain falling, Gorka singing "People Get Ready" accompanied only by an acoustic guitar in a church nursery filled with cribs and toys and children's art on the walls, David Tamulevich singing anything, meeting Mike (between5and7) "Smith"...it was a perfect day. He will be pursuing his own business and John has moved with him. You can get all the info you need about John's tour schedule at the johngorka.com. Not to worry....John Gorka and David Tamulevich are still the best performer/management team in folk music! I am sure the folk publications will be writing about the split soon.
