I saw the early show and can't stop smiling. It was a very good noise. John was rather perky tonight. There are a few artists that I see whenever they come to town. It's interesting to me how much John's mood shows through in his performance. I would say that this is more the case with him than anyone else that I see. The pace of his songs even changes. Anyway, it was a wonderful concert with Alice Peacock. I didn't keep a set list, but I know he opened with Shape of the World. The rest of the list is not in order - Saint's Complaint, I'm from New Jersey, People My Age, Semper Fi, Houses in the Fields, Stranger with Your Hair, Flying Red Horse, Oh Abraham, What Was That, Good Noise, Love is Our Cross to Bear was the encore, I think. I wish you all could have been there. There was a cute moment when he very decisively put his handkerchief down and we all laughed. He made a comment about how he is never sure of anything, so it was good that he was very sure of that. I'm very sure that it was a most delightful concert. ------------------------------ End of good-noise-digest V5 #29 *******************************
