I had been enjoying a movie at home this past weekend, when I saw something that made me stop and rewind. The movie was nearing the end and the characters were searching for the grave of a thief. The thief had died as an unknown and was buried on a place called Hart Island, near New York City. As the camera followed the characters on the island, it went by a sign that read "Potter's Field". I wasn't sure, it could have been a coincidence, so I jumped on the internet and found that Potter's Field is indeed a real cemetery on Hart Island outside of New York city. It's a place for the homeless, unknown, poor, ect. to be buried, maybe even the kind of place where a bad kid from a bad family tree might end up, like Teddy (Jailbirds In The Bighouse). Thought you might find this interesting, I know I did. The next time I sing along to the line "a foot in Potter's Field", I'll have a different picture in my head. If you want to know more about Potter's Field, a few years ago mystery authoress Patricia Cornwell wrote a novel by the name of "From Potter's Field", just in case you're interested . . . Sometimes it's all too easy to forget how we're all connected as members of the human race--but music, and especially John's, helps to remind. Thanks again for all your hard work. It's a beautiful album. Sara ------------------------------ End of good-noise-digest V5 #27 *******************************
