Last night as I was watching that multi-network musical telethon on TV, I couldn't help but find myself wishing John was up there singing "Let them in". I am sure it would have brought the nation to tears, not only for what it would mean for the victims, but the potential implications for soldiers if we go to war. I also found myself wishing someone would sing Nanci Griffith's "It's a Hard Life".
