I am going to the Gorka concert 10/14 in St. Louis. Problem is this venue is limited to those 21 and older so my girlfriend (who will be 21 in november) can not go. Are any of you planning on going? Ive always wanted to see him but its going to be weird going alone. I figure I could enjoy the experience more if I could meet up with anyone else from here who is going. If anyone from this list is going it would be great to sit with some people who could guide me through my first gorka concert experience (although I have been listening to him for 10 years now- and ironically- i'm from NJ =) I'm looking forward to hearing him- and i sure hope he plays Semper Fi in light of what has happened. thanks, Adam ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 19 Sep 2001 21:11:45 EDT From: SAbrams613@aol.com Subject: Re: Gorka Trivia 'Prom Night in Pigtown'. Some of the celebrants were destined to become scrapple. You guys who answered it correctly get to make some up and tell the rest of us how your indigestion is! Scrapple 4 lbs. fresh shoulder 2 lbs. fresh side 3 lbs. pork liver 2 lbs pearl barley (may substitute medium barley) 1 lb. steel cut oats (may substitute old fashioned oats) 5 T. salt 8 t. coarse cracked pepper Water as needed Boil each meat separately until done. Remove meats from liquids. Discard liver broth. Grind meats and put all in broth from shoulder and side. Combine ground meat, broth and remaining ingredients. Cook until barley is done and mixture is heavy. Water may need to be added periodically. The only comments about the recipe at the web site were: This recipe is very fatty and rich. And is a greasy mess to grind the meats. U-huh....people my age indeed.
