I've had the great pleasure of seeing him 2 times here in NC. I'm new here, folks, and just got this grouping of messages, so I may be a day behind (and a dollar short). I'm curious about the 'bootleg' CD--I have all the CDs of John's that I've been able to find over the years--how did this one become available?? Diane Diane B. I was a bit nervous to check my mail this morning! You made me laugh and I appreciate it. I notice that Psyche hasn't posted yet, and I sure hope I didn't go too far with my message to her. The range of personalities in good-noise is fascinating. (I should check to see how many of us are in here... I noticed the 'march of the lemmings' a while ago...) Tonight is the big night! Time is moving very slowly today! Is that a phenomenom of JG concert days? At least the weather forecasters are wrong so far - it's a beautiful morning, sunny and bright. I'm thinking about asking him to autograph a neon yellow index card to put above my CD collection, that's if I get bold enough to approach him. I'm starting to think it would be presumptuous of me to give him the childrens book. At least with time moving so slowly today, I'll have time to think about it. It isn't even noon yet?? Thanks again! I'm here Sam...licking my wounds.....hding behind my apron strings. QUite the smart ass sam aren't you? Have a good good time tonight. I look forward to hearing your review. I just received two emails from the Psyche, but each is signed by a different name??? And each one busted me up! I feel so much better now - I've been fretting about the severity of my "privacy" ramlbeding last night. Are Paula and Bryn one and the same? Doesn't seem like it... Hmm... This just shows how much of a newbee I am. And I have to ask - what in the world does 'namaste' mean? I looked it up in my english/spanish dictionary and no luck. Maybe it's italian for 'yours truly'? I'm already confused enough today! I'm struggling with what to sign on the inside cover of the book. Should I address it to Noelle and Joseph, or all four of the family...? At least I can toss out this apology letter to Bryn I've been struggling to compose. Thanks Bryn for your kind understanding and humorous point of view regarding my rash ramlbeding! I must remind myself to always make good noise, and just keep my big mouth shut other times. Leaving in two and a half hours... it's pins and needles time, folks. I'd better mix up an elixir - a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of V8. That'll calm me down. It's feels really good to get to know you all. What a group! And he looks like Charles Bronson without the mustache? Hmm, I thought it was Joseph. And no mention of the wonderful-I'm-sure wife's name... What a great website, Paula and Susan! I visited a month or so ago, but this is the first time I've had a chance to really go in. Am I flooding good-noise? I'm really not usually this prolific. It must be because I'm excited about tonight. I'm still expecting a blizzard to come out of nowhere... I'll be quiet now... It was easily solved when I combined her multiple personality disorder into a single disorder, namely PBBPB! See how easy this is, kids? Disorder in the court!!! We saw JG and lived to tell about it! We had to drive through occasional blizzard conditions, but we made it and it was well worth it! My wife and I took notes when we could. It wasn't easy. It was very difficult to look away, and we didn't very often. But we'll try to combine our scribblings and compose a review for you. Two words: Body Parts! I have, in my possession, a guitar pick that he used during the first set. They auctioned it off during the break and my amazing wife Sara bought it for me. It immediately became one of my treasures. I'm looking at it now. No wait... I'm holdring it noew and i:m typung with one finger! We shook his hand, got his autograph (on a neon yellow index card), gave him our book (which he accepted graciously, as predicted by certain webmasters), and the person behind us took a picture of us with our camera. John has his arm around my amazing wife Sara, and I have my, I actually have my hand on his shoulder! Hopefully the picture comes out good, and if it does, we'll scan it and send it to good-noise. He was so entertaining! Hypnotizing, electric, riveting. Well, you all know that... The first show cancelled out, the Peacock girl. So John came out and played in her place. We got a double shot of JG! Upstairs in a beat up old Masonic Temple building, folding chairs and cafeteria tables. Perfect! Time to crash, but I'm tempted to search for my old capo. Where'd I put that thing? John is a terrific guitarist! Until tomorrow, palaminos... SK ------------------------------ End of good-noise-digest V4 #28 *******************************
