Don't you love it when you can prove something like that to one of your children? My mother did it to me when I was at almost that same age in regard to Jesse Colin Young, and it still makes me laugh to think about it . . . It is a six hour drive for me and since Bryn and I are going to see John and Mustard's Retreat in Chicago in early March, so I am wavering on making the trek to Des Moines. My husband can't believe I am flaking out on this and he wants to go, but it's just a really bad day for me. Hope you go and have a good time! For your information, John will be appearing at a couple of great midwestern folk venues this summer. Check out FlemTam's Gorka itinerary (we have a quick link to them on our web site (www.geocities/thegypsylife) (there I go again Bryn, feeling like a walking advertisement!). I am not telling how old she is, but that glow you see coming up form the Midwest is the light from her birthday cake. She's not getting older, just better. I told her to catch a great live music show via the Internet for her birthday. Live out of Boston and the legendary Club Passim is Kevin So. He is someone I have had the pleasure of seeing a lot the end of last year, even had him do a holiday party for us. What a writer! And what a musician. Check him out if you can, here is the link: Club Passim b" Happy Birthday Susan (SmithFinn@aol.com) I am glad I know ya!
