For some reason, I did not receive from the list my own response to the wonderful Icehouse reviews nor a post Bryn told me she sent last night aout Mountain Stage (Bryn, can you resend it to me?), but I wanted to also join in the thanks for those great memories of Saturday night, from a seasoned Gorkaholic's point of view to Denise's exuberance in seeing John for the first time. How very special it was to read them. It sure made me feel like I was there. Bryn and I are adding a reviews page to our web site, so please send us your reviews, photos, concert momentos for posting so that others who do not subscribe to this list can read your stories. Kris has sent us a couple of great photos from Saturday night and I will try to get them up soon. Also, for those of you who are sitting at work at times and want to send that perfect Gorka lyric to a friend to capture a moment that they might be experiencing, we have finished the first five Gorka CD's lyrics' pages on our web site at www.geocities/thegypsylife/goodnoise.html and are working frantically to finish the last two before "The Company You Keep" comes out. Sorry for the delay on the others but family and work life sometimes gets in the way of gorkaholism. Hard to believe, I know (!). By the way, I just received the WDIY-FM Studio Sessions Volume I CD, and besides the great live version of "Cypress Trees", there are some wonderful pieces on this CD, including many other Fleming & Tamulevich artists. Just a great listen all around, and maybe one we wouldn't have known about except for the bootleggin' issue! Welcome, Sam...I lurk a lot too! Susan, I'm not getting all of the posts either. :-( Anyone know why this is happening? It happens to me sometimes with eGroups (YahooGroups), but this one is usually okay. (I think it was from a webmaster.) I didn't get an MP3 of his piano version of TWIW, however... (Miffed) I'm plunging in headfirst. I figure if the water is wide, then it must also be deep. Heh heh. I hope I don't ruffle any feathers. I've been known to do that. We'll see how it goes... heh heh. Hope this isn't too personal, but does anyone know what John's favorite drink is? The way he sings, and those words of his, he must be a partier. He may not during his shows, but I think he kicks his feet up in front of the fireplace at home and sips something... Scotch? Well, I know that I do - but at the moment my fireplace is this silly monitor. "Back!" I say, with a chair in my hand. Our computer's in the kitchen, and her name is Dinah cuz someone's always in the kitchen with her. Almost as intriguing as a fireplace but in reality, not even close. I'm tempted to cancel my cablevision, cancel my caller ID, even my whole phone. Even my internet connection... I can't now - I'm a Good Noise boy. Thanks again Gorka fans, for welcoming me. I'm honored. ------------------------------ End of good-noise-digest V4 #18 *******************************
