Last night, surfing the inventory at my friendly neighborhood Borders, I came upon something that may pertain to the new release. Gorka was listed as having released *eight* albums; the eighth was titled "The Company You Keep." The status was listed as "unavailable" (obviously), but, as we have speculated, the release date given was March 2001. Just thought I'd pass it along. - --Dan ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 22 Jan 2001 18:39:55 EST From: SAbrams613@aol.com Subject: Re: New Gorka CD Oh joy! Oh rapture!!!!! Barbara ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 22 Jan 2001 22:58:35 EST From: ThePsyche@aol.com Subject: Wisconsin Singer/Songwriter Series I am on the mailing list for this wonderful venue in Cedarburg, WI, outside Milwaukee. This was in the newsletter I received today: WE NEED YOUR RESPONSE TO A SPECIAL CONCERT: This year we received a special offer from an agency to host John Gorka, Cheryl Wheeler, Lucy Kaplansky and Cliff Eberhart all together in an in-the-round setting. We declined because we did not ahe the money upfront to guarantee the artist fes thatwould be required. The admission price for such an event would be in the $22 to $25 range. I would consider something like this if you, our audience, would help us by "subscribing" to such a concert. In other words, the concert could take place if we received a minimum of 170 ticket orders in advance of a specified date. I would like to know how many of you would be interested in such a concert. We may still have a window of opportunity to do it this year, but most likely it will happen next year. Please contact us via mail, email or phone. (leave your name and number) so that we may inform you as this develops. Their web address is www.wsss.org and email is wsss@execpc.com This sounds like a mighty memorable event to me! I am writing in! I believe it was called a Midwinters Night Concert. It had Patty Larkin instead of Lucy it was an amazing concert. smg in Madison >From: ThePsyche@aol.com >Reply-To: good-noise@smoe.org >To: good-noise@smoe.org >Subject: Wisconsin Singer/Songwriter Series >Date: Mon, 22 Jan 2001 22:58:35 EST > >I am on the mailing list for this wonderful venue in Cedarburg, WI, outside >Milwaukee.
