I guess it's true. :-( Anywho, on the Richard Shindell list last week, several folks were discussing the song "By Now" and how frightening it is to them. But the scariest song I think *I've* heard is John's "Raven in the Storm". That song absolutely sends chills up my spine! Does anyone else find it especially creepy? I have it posted on my bulletin board at work so I can read it throughout the day. Well, Tom, I could take a stab at it since I just heard JG sing it about ten days ago at the Birchmere, but let's wait and see if Paula or Susan or one of the other more astute list members can conjure it up before I ruin it for you . . . I transcribed them from the Artist Profile video tonight. Thanks for that....it has been a while since I watched (listened) to the video and it was nice to connect with it again. I was doing some ironing while I watched it. It reminded me of my Mother, ironing for her husband and seven kids. She always has the stereo or radio playing while she did her stuff. I know that is where I get my love (need) for music. Namaste, Bryn, Betty's daughter People My Age People my age have started looking gross. I cannot say all, and I shouldn't say most. I've seen them in the grocery, I've seen them up close People my age have started looking gross. People my age are showing some wear. There's holes where their teeth was and their heads have gone bare. Their brains are shrinking, faces sinking into fat. And as for the mirror, we won't be looking into that. People my age have started looking gross. Maybe not in Colorado or up the Silicon coast. Back in Pennsylvania I'd eat scapple on toast. Those were my first steps on the road to looking gross. People my age are looking over ripe. Some are getting operations to tighten up what aint tight. What gravity's ruined, they try to fix with a knife. What's pleasant in the darkness, is plain scary in the light. hmmmmmmmm, mmmmmm, mmmmmm Gross. ------------------------------ End of good-noise-digest V3 #111 ********************************
