At work, I don't often listen to music with lyric content because I really can't concentrate on it. I tend to listen to instrumental stuff (Nightnoise, Acoustic Alchemy, Fogelberg's instrumental CDs, Michael Hedges, etc). I have to have a CD in my car where I can listen to it several times in a row before I can decide whether I like it or not. I've found I don't just sit and listen to much music at home anymore. It's almost always while I'm driving. It might be because my wife or 16 year-old son have a TV on most of the time or that I am usually working ON music or at my computer. Never have gotten into the habit of listening to music through my computer while working. I don't even have my computer speakers on in my office anymore. Too many people's websites used to crank up cheesy midi files without asking you, I guess. No offense to those who do this, but I suggest letting visitors click to hear stuff. Just MHO... ------------------------------ End of good-noise-digest V3 #86 *******************************
