Just thought I'd send out one last reminder about tomorrow night's (Wednesday, May 24 -- 7:30PM) concert at Creole Gallery in Old Town Lansing featuring Mary Gauthier (g0-SHAY) and -- as opening performer -- ME! I'm anticipating doing twenty minutes of mostly original material before Mary takes the stage. My friend, Brett Hartenbach, is planning on accompanying me on guitar -- he alone is worth the price of admission. The Creole is located at 1218 Turner Street in Lansing's Old Town, about a half-block north of Grand River on the east side of the street. There is construction on Grand River between Center Street and (from what I've been told) Pennsylvania Avenue, so if you're planning on attending and you're coming in from the southeast, I'd advise you come via Oakland, taking N. Washington north to Grand River. Turn right (east), cross the bridge and turn left (north) at Turner Street. The Creole is about a half-block on your right. If you have no clue whatsoever as to how to get to the Creole, e-mail me and I'll give you directions specific to your needs. If you'd like more info on the Creole and its upcoming performances or art exhibits, visit their website at http://lansing.com/creolegallery. Or e-mail the gallery: mailto:creolegallery@aol.com. Hope to see you. Pat ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 23 May 2000 22:05:47 EDT From: ThePsyche@aol.com Subject: Re: Me and Mary Gauthier ptpower@juno.com writes: << Hope to see you. The only Gorka song I do on guitar is Branching Out...no tree medley for me yet. By the way, I only know three songs on the guitar: Michael Row The Boat Ashore, Tom Dooley and now, Branching Out. I know three chords and I can do all three songs with those three chords. Did I mention that I am not good? Good Luck Pat! Thanks for your note. <> No, I won't be doing any of John's songs, but if I did, the one closest to my heart and my life would be "Love Is My Cross To Bear." Thanks again.
