I've been hoping he would come to the Ram's Head (Annapolis) but jumped at the chance to fight the friday bay bridge traffic to see him in Easton. There were fewer people there than I expected. It's not a big place, and the balcony area was may 1/4 full. I'm not sure about the main floor. He played a Martin OM28VR (I'm into guitars) and piano. The stage banter was lots of fun (you all must know that already). He took requests for some songs that he had trouble remembering lyrics for (Promnight in Pigtown was very rough). I can probably recreate the songlist (maybe not in order) if no one else supplies it. I have no idea how many people are on this list. I started searching the web for the lyrics to 'People my Age (are starting to look gross)', but have not been able to find them anywhere. If any of you have them I'd sure like to have you send them. I didn't see any archive of this mailing list for me to search in. I bought his songbook afterwards and asked him to sign it (he was back on stage packing up). They were selling his CD's too, but I have them all already. I was hoping to hear him play 'Land of the Bottom Line' mainly so I could see how he gets that nice guitar effect. But he didn't play it. I plan to see JG at the Birchmere (November?) and any time he comes to the Ram's Head. I live in the Annapolis MD area, play guitar (Steve Goodman, GL, JG, flatpicking, etc). If I can answer any questions about the concert, fire away...
