The doors open at 7:30 but there's a chance this will be a sell-out as John hasn't been to the Fiddle in a number of years, so get your tickets ($10) in advance. Check out the Fiddle's website at www.tenpoundfiddle.org for more info or e-mail me privately and I'll give you the skinny. I'd also be happy to provide driving directions. What a great show as only he can do! He played all the good stuff (of course, it's all good). There was about 250 people at the show. He was in great form and humor as always. I am lucky enough to work at the Grey Eagle and got a chance to sit and talk with him after the show. What a great guy. If anyone on this list lives near Asheville, you should come and check out the great shows at the Grey Eagle. We had Johnsmith and Tom Kimmel last weekend as well as this week is Steve Forbert and John McCutcheon. David Wilcox is coming on the 13th! Check us out at: http://members.tripod.com/greyeaglemusic/ Hope to see this list getting busier in the future. Gorkafan, Tony H. If you do not know his stuff (especially his live CD, Bones and his latest, Short Stories) check him out! He told me to check out Johnsmith and I have yet to do that...any one have any comments? As for Wilcox....he ranks # 2 right after Gorka in my book....somedays he might even be #1. Thanks for the review. I think I might drive to Lansing and hear him Friday.
