I have all his Cds prior to the current live disc and have seen him perform a few times. The first time was as an opener for Cliff Eberhardt...what a cool night...Ellis also hung around awhile after the show and he rivaled Mr. Gorka in humility and just being an all-around nice guy to all who attended. I would reccommend him to anyone who hasn't yet had the pleasure...especially if he's performing w/ Vance Gilbert...together they are a whole 'nother experience. Reading your comments really made me jealous...thanks...hopefully, now that I'm on the list I'll be better informed from here on out. Anyone w/ any more info on John and Lucy Kaplansky at the Keswick in Glenside in November...such as ticket availability. I'm on the Keswick email list but have only seen the show listed at the Flem/Tam site. Thanks, Larry. Also, anyone attend shows at the King of Prussia 'Concerts under the stars' series? ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 30 Mar 2000 20:07:08 -0600 From: "Mary Sansone" Subject: Re: Hello on March 16th I had the great pleasure of seeing Lucy in Lawrence KS.....very enjoyable evening. I first heard her singing backup on some of John's songs and I love her voice. I really need to get to a folk festival. mary ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 30 Mar 2000 21:18:14 -0600 From: "Eley, Bill W" Subject: Re: Hello Welcome Larry! It is amazing how your list of favorites probably parallels most of the people's on this list (certainly mine). And, I second Smokey's recommendation about Ellis Paul - he should definitely move near the top of your list.
