Yes, it's a promo CD released in 1994 that includes a couple of tracks from the "Out of the Valley" album, an early recording of "The Campaign Trail," and a version of "Furniture" recorded live on KMTT in Seattle. It's also got a great picture of John on the cover, wearing a very cool pair of sunglasses. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= OTTO BOST Producer/Host of "Acoustic Eclectic" FolkDude@aol.com Mondays 7-9 PM Quakertown, PA USA 88.1 & 93.9 WDIY-FM, Allentown =-=-=< http://members.aol.com/folkdude/acouecle.html >=-=-= ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 2 Nov 1999 08:33:28 EST From: Davidfta@aol.com Subject: Re: mp3s Motor Folkin is a promotional cd done by High Street Records in 1994- it contains a live version of Furniture that isn't on any other cd ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 02 Nov 1999 10:46:55 PST From: "Mike Smith" Subject: RE: Lost Review Welcome Bill! Thanks, Dayna *If you do so can you also please repost the address, since i accidently deleted water is wide... thanks Adam Here they are, back by overwhelming, popular request (O.K., two of you on the list), four, count 'em, four half song samples (that equals two songs if you put them together) from John Gorka, not to be found anywhere on his own CD's (nope, I wouldn't lie to you). If you've been on the list long, you know the routine to follow, if not, go here: http://members.tripod.com/Mike_H_1/ Right-Click, Save Target As, change .wav to mp3, and your on your way! (the last bit of the sentence was blatenly stolen from JG). Check out the groovy background on the web page! (Peter, Paul & Mary) Lifelines The Water Is Wide - Were Have All The Flowers Gone:The Songs of Pete Seeger Furniture - Motor Folkin The Campaign Trail - Motor Folkin (early recording) I know it was talked about on the list before, but could someone help me out with the recordings that are on what I think was called "Lost Worlds" CD? ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 02 Nov 1999 15:28:52 -0500 From: Greg Steele Subject: Re: List Revised Mike Smith wrote: > > Well, I'm revising my list to "songs not found on one of the major releases > of John Gorka". I'd definately recommend it to you... it's called "From Coffee House to Concert Hall" It's distributed by Festival Distribution, and is on Fogarty's Cove Music... you can order it online from Festival's Wesbsite: http://www.festival.bc.ca I'll provide a full review if anyone is interested...
