It's hard to put into words exactly why, but if you've ever had the privilege of hearing Houses in the Fields (one of my favorites) on the piano, you'll understand. For an encore, he played The Water is Wide on piano, a song I hadn't heard before. Luckily for me, the local library had Were Have All The Flowers Gone: The Songs of Pete Seeger, with John Gorka singing that song. A sample of that song can be found here: http://members.tripod.com/Mike_H_1/ Right-click, Save As, change .wav to .mp3 Give it a listen. So here is my list, so far, for songs by JG not on a JG CD: Christmas Bells - Winter Solstice III Sweet Love - Kate Wolf:Treasures Left Behind 24 Green Street - P.P.& M. (Peter, Paul & Mary) Lifelines The Water Is Wide - Were Have All The Flowers Gone:The Songs of Pete Seeger Anyone want to add? ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ End of good-noise-digest V2 #127 ********************************
