Nothing like a Gorka song to bring those dark feelings up from the depths of my despair. So....that is the story part of the post....here is my idea. I was driving past a McDonald's with "the boy" in the car and as he was asking for a happy meal toy, I got this idea for The John Gorka Happy Meal (how is that for an oxymoron?) and accompanying toy. What would those toys be? The "Promnight In Pigtown" stuffed pigs "Jailbird in the Bighouse" beanie baby "Italian Girl" doll "Raven in the Storm" hand puppet Or make it toys from any of John's CDs. I would want a complete set. Collector's items? Any ideas fellow listers? "Stranger In My Driver's Seat" toy car (with no windows) "Carnival Knowledge" clown nose "Saw A Stranger With Your Hair" doll (with removable wig) "I'm From New Jersey" doll (with really big hair) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 23 Aug 1999 19:18:29 EDT From: ThePsyche@aol.com Subject: Re: Living In The Land of the Bottom Line jhassol@carlisle-cocom writes: << How about the "houses in the fields" construction set? As another committed Gorkaholic, I can identify totally with your comments about him and his music. However, my favorites are "Silence", "Campaign Trail" and "Flying Red Horse", not because they are necessarily "happy" or "sad" but because they are very ACCURATE representations of true experiences or situations and the emotions which we feel while enduring them. Gorka has no equal! Long live Gorka! Gorka for king! GORKA!
