For all you guitarists, singer-songwriters and general 
I-mess-around-with-my-guitar-in-my-spare-time folks, check out the latest 
(October 1999) issue of 'Acoustic Guitar'. Page 42 is an article by JG titled 
"Gorka On Track: A Folksinger's Guide To Home Recording". He discusses his 
experiences using home recording equipment. Of course, he does this in the 
Gorka style we all appreciate. For example:

"Being a singer-songwriter and a folk guy, it seemed only right and natural 
for me to want to "seize the means of production" (to use good old Marxist 
terminology)."
