I sometimes put my "stuff" out there and then worry how others are going to take it. I tend to use music to help me over the rough spots in my life.....and sometimes even the joyful ones! I am not sure how this list might react to those kinds of posts, but it really did have to do with Gorka and how the music fills in the blanks for me. Know what I mean? Congratulations on being a Grandma the second time around! When is the big day? But, hey, aren't you to young to be a grandma? I'll bet you are a great one though. I wish this list would get a bit more active. Any ideas on how to spice it up? Keep in touch. I thought of John mowing the lawn and I hoped he was paying some kid in the neighborhood to mow it. I'd rather have him dividing his time between family and songwriting. But then thinking of bumping into the Gorka family at the mall just blew me away. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 Aug 1999 15:07:48 EDT From: ThePsyche@aol.com Subject: Re: John mowing the lawn Brett or Jodi writes: << But then thinking of bumping into the Gorka family at the mall just blew me away. >> In June I saw John in Stillwater, MN, which is near his home. At he end of the show, he said to the crowd, "See ya all at the CUB." That is a reference to the only big grocery store near there, a CUB Food store. I got a chuckle out of that. Imagine running into him while finding a good deal on toilet bowl cleaners. My sister lives there and has yet to run into John at the post office, but did see Jessica Lang in the CUB once. Adios, Bryn, still waiting for a brush with greatness ------------------------------ End of good-noise-digest V2 #103 ********************************
