A Canadian university student and I worked out a trade -- a Richard Shindell disc for a Buddy MacMaster. Perhaps you can find someone on the list here who, like me, has an interest in Canadian artists and who is willing to trade discs with you. It takes a bit of faith in the postal system and in humanity, but so far I've been fortunate in both respects. - --Jay Votel Dayna Cummings wrote: > Hi Sam, > I see your point with the reproduction of tapes. Funny how John and his music have become part of our daily lives! I know I probably have something remind me of him, or a listen to him just about every day! (Some people have a glass of wine per day, I have a Gorka listen - just what the doc ordered!) I also enjoyed reading about your friends son, the deadhead that was relaying his "tour tales" to you. I was fortunate (or crazy - haven't figured out which yet) enough to go to @ 120 Grateful Dead shows. Boy, do I miss those times too! Haven't seen quite that many Gorka shows (yet! hehe), but I know my eye sparkles just as much relaying Gorka or Dead stories. I know Jay and I had a great time chatting about the various shows we had both been to. BTW, you asked "Or am I just too obsessed?" Hate to tell ya... ;) Peace, Kris ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 19 Jul 1999 21:56:56 PDT From: "Sean Palen" Subject: you don't know me Hey JGers I have been tooling with the Ray Charles' version of You Don't Know Me , tying to convert to guitar, has anyone made any headway? I am doing alright, but why work really hard when someone else already has, just kidding. But seriously, any help is welcome, and I also enjoyed the Edgar story, take it easy Sean _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
