Maybe the rest of you already knew this, but for the few uninformed members of this list like me, please allow me to tell you what I learned today about John Gorka's concert at the Herndon Folk Festival on Sunday, October 10; it's FREE!!! Yes, that's right, folk music fans; there's no admission charge for this free, outdoor concert, and John Gorka is scheduled to be playing at approximately 3:30 P.M. EDT that afternoon. If you don't believe me, or if you do believe me and you want to get additional information about the exact location, etc., please call the same number I did today: (703) 435-6870. Now, you can't beat a deal like that, can you? Herndon is located in northern Virginia about 35 miles west of Washington, D.C., and it's within just a few hours drive of a number of major metropolitan areas in Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, Ohio and Pennsylvania. There is no better location for a major occurrence of Gorkamania befitting of all true Gorkaholics, so make plans to be there! See ya then! Although I would prefer to have John give a live performance and maybe even hold my foot, I realize this is over the edge pregnant brain dementia. So, any suggestions for my list? Any suggestions for the various stages of birth-labor, pushing, post delivery? I can't think of a better way to welcome any child into the world than with a soothing, soulful song like that one! Then, if he/she begins to cry, you can switch over to "He looks like Charles Bronson when he cries", but don't blame me if it's a girl . . . Good luck! She seemed to have very little trouble, and they were all splendid kittens indeed. (I adopted 2 of them myself, Cinnabar and the famous Powzie. They lived to be almost 20, and were royally spoiled virtually every moment of that time, so perhaps it is a lucky ritual.
