Me too... of course I would be tempted to buy a CD of John reading the Scranton telephone book. - Frank "Some accidents are years in the making, Some rabbits feet can rub you raw" - JG ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 16 Jun 1999 08:16:27 EDT From: ThePsyche@aol.com Subject: Re: ason To Believe Frank writes: > of course I would be tempted to buy a CD of John reading the > Scranton telephone book. My best friend Shirley says the same thing. Only the Chicago Phone Book ! About two years ago, shortly after I discovered John's music I talked her into taking what has now come to be known as a *Gorka Journey* with me. She and I drove north from Chicago to Minnesota and saw him perform in Jordon, MN in a barn on a cool fall evening. I had already seen John at a Folk Festival a couple months before, but she wasn't familiar with his music. We played a lot on our ride but it was that intimate concert (or maybe it was the pig roast before) that turned her into a Gorkantic. Since that time we have taken several more *Gorka Journeys*. It is something we share. John never disappoints. His performances are always memorable. Especially the old stuff. I have a wish to hear him sing Sentimental Journey. Anyone else have some oldies they think would come to life with John's voice? have a good one everybody. Saw the On a Summer's Night Show, and going to the gig in Upper Merion on July 11th. If anybody can tell me what are the best albums are from Cliff I'd like to know. Hi everybody!
