I dont feel old.. :) Not too much Gorka in the KC area either but he will be here in November. I'm looking forward to it. Should have eaten bean sprouts, instead of all those roasts, People my age have started looking gross. There is also a very funny couplet about things that feel really good in the dark looking really bad in the light. It's a song about the fact that our 35+ year old bodies are beginning to betray us. This song is called "Let Them In Peter". Another wonderful singer songwritter, David Wilcox has recorded this on his cd, Home Again. This is what I have heard about the origin of the song. Someone, a fan or friend, found the poem among her mother's keepsakes from serving as a nurse in the Pacific durring WWII. It's a real tear jerker! Hi everyone: I haven't written since coming back from the Kerrville Folk Festival, but in light of some of the chatter here about seeing great singer-songwriters share the stage.... Cliff Eberhardt performed at Kerrville a week ago last Monday and was suffering from the same hoarseness that apparently still has him down. Sorry to hear that. He was terriffic. In the FOG (Friends of Gorka) catagory, we'll be heading to Bridgeton, N.J., next weekend to see Cry Cry Cry. The next night at Concerts Under the Stars, Lucy Kaplansky and Richard Shindell will share the bill with Christine Lavin. We're camping and making our own mini-festival out of the two shows. I haven't seen JG since April, but there has been a tremendous run of great music and festivals for us lately. Plus, I got to fulfill one of my life's ambitions -- performing at the Ballad Tree in Kerrville this summer. What a rush. Maybe some of us Eastern Gorka heads can connect at King of Prussia, Pa., next month? - -- Jay Votel Steve McGraw wrote: > Awe! Envy! Green-Eyed-Monster! Jealousy!
