They are wonderful shows and I'm thrilled they're going to do them again - schedcules haven't meshed for the past couple of years but I've seen this tour many times (when I lived in New York and after I moved to California 5 years ago). What a great summer - I'm seeing Nanci Griffith, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Shawn Colvin, John and Lucy Kasplansky at the Kate Wolf Festival, Cheryl with Cliff in San Francisco. I hate to bring the conversation down a level, but I seem to remember some joke (and I hate to accuse Cheryl unjustly, but it seems like something she'd say) about David Massengill's participation in the Summer's Eve tour. Can anyone fill in the blanks in my memory? From Cliff's stories about Cheryl, this seems the likely source :-) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 1 Apr 1999 13:10:31 EST From: MadlyDancn@aol.com Subject: Re: Summer's Night/Eve/Thanks! Greg promptly responded . . . <> Thanks, Greg. That sounds about the way I remember it. After I clicked "send," I thought another possible source is Christine Lavin. I'm terrible at remembering (and telling) jokes, too. Karen ------------------------------ End of good-noise-digest V2 #42 *******************************
