About 4 songs into the show, John went to the piano and sang "Let Them In" for "Smokey and friends". It was beautiful. :-) We had given him the lyrics, just in case, and he did use them. However, during the rest of the evening he only had to call upon the written words one more time. That was to sing a request for "Paradise". It really was a wonderful evening! Was it the John Prine one, or have I (heaven forbid!!) forgotten one of the songs off one of his CDs? (If the latter is the case, I'll have to find a hole to crawl into out of pure embarassment...)
